About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 6-week fast-track refurbishment and fit-out package at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Nottingham.

As the No. 1 Site Manager on-site, you will be responsible for driving daily production, managing sub-contractors, enforcing rigorous health and safety standards, and ensuring work is delivered to the highest quality while maintaining compliance with educational facility standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations, short-term programming, and trade coordination.

  • Conduct site inductions, issue daily permits to work, and enforce site RAMS.

  • Lead daily activity briefings (DABs) and liaise with school stakeholders and project managers.

  • Maintain comprehensive site paperwork, progress reports, and quality inspection records.



Essential Criteria

  • Certifications: Valid SMSTS, 3-Day First Aid at Work, and a CSCS Black (Manager) or White (Professional) card minimum.

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Site Manager on education, SEN, or health/care facilities (strongly preferred).

  • Payment Terms: Must be willing to operate via Umbrella or PAYE (No CIS available due to tax guidelines on this contract).

  • Vetting: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo immediate clearance) is preferred due to the environment.
