Job Title: Freelance Site Manager - New Build Housing

Location: Wombourne, South Staffordshire

Start Date: Friday (Handover day)

Duration: Circa 4 Weeks

Pay Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Umbrella PAYE or Direct PAYE only)



About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to step in and manage an active 60-plot new build housing development in Wombourne.

The site is currently progressing through early-stage works, with ongoing foundations, slab pours, and superstructures beginning to rise. You will take full operational responsibility on site, ensuring health & safety, sub-contractor coordination, quality control, and adherence to the build program.

You will report directly to the visiting Build Manager.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations across all 60 plots, focusing on groundworks, slabs, foundations, and brickwork/superstructures.

  • Manage and coordinate sub-contractors and trades to maintain quality standards and keep the project on schedule.

  • Enforce strict Health & Safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain site documentation.

  • Provide clear progress updates to the Build Manager.

  • Conduct a full site walk and handover with the outgoing team on Friday.



Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: CSCS Black Card or CSCS White Card (Managerial/Professional level). Valid SMSTS and First Aid at Work are essential.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering New Build Housing developments from groundworks through to superstructure stages.

  • Payment Method: Must be willing and able to be paid via Umbrella PAYE or Direct PAYE (No CIS/LTD).

  • Availability: Available to start on site this Friday for a comprehensive handover.
