Site Manager – Asbestos Remediation

Location: Newcastle
Start Date: 17th August 2026
Duration: 6–12 weeks
Rate: £300–£350 per day
Job Type: Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee an upcoming asbestos ground remediation project in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant health, safety and asbestos regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day running of the remediation site
• Supervising site operatives and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standards
• Monitoring progress and coordinating site activities
• Maintaining site records and documentation
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures
• Liaising with the project management team and other contractors
• Identifying and addressing any site issues promptly

Essential Requirements:

• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Asbestos Awareness
• Earthworks and ground remediation background
• Previous Site Management experience
• Experience working on remediation, asbestos or similar construction projects is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
• Good communication and organisational skills
