An established specialist contractor is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee structural demolition and remodelling projects across Central London.
The company delivers technically challenging basement construction, structural refurbishment, ground engineering, demolition and temporary works projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of site operations
- Oversee structural demolition, alterations and remodelling works
- Coordinate temporary works, propping, underpinning and structural packages
- Manage subcontractors, direct labour, suppliers and deliveries
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard
- Review drawings, specifications, RAMS and construction information
- Resolve technical and logistical issues
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and inspections
- Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers and the wider project team
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
- Strong Site Management experience within structural demolition, structural alterations or remodelling
- Good understanding of temporary works and structural sequencing
- Experience working within existing buildings and restricted Central London sites
- Basement, underpinning, groundworks or structural refurbishment experience would be advantageous
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and engineering details
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
