The Role

Ridgeway & Co are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join an established contractor on a project in Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

This position would suit a Site Manager with a strong background in fit out, refurbishment and internal works, who is confident managing projects through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site operations.

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades.

• Overseeing fit-out, refurbishment and internal packages.

• Managing programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.

• Monitoring quality and ensuring works are completed to specification.

• Managing health & safety requirements across site.

• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

• Managing snagging and defects through to final handover.

• Liaising with the client, subcontractors and wider project team.

• Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager.

• Strong background in fit out, refurbishment or interiors.

• Confident managing subcontractors and multiple trades.

• Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing.

• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.

• Ability to take ownership of site and drive works through to completion.
