Site Manager – Industrial Project | Peterborough | Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join an industrial construction project in Peterborough, with an immediate start available.

This is an initial 4-week contract, with the potential for extension for the right candidate. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in delivering the finishing stages of industrial or commercial projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, programme and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the site during the final phases of the project.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Oversee finishing trades, snagging and quality control to ensure a successful handover.
• Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Liaise with the client, project team and subcontractors to maintain progress and resolve any site issues.
• Maintain accurate site records and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Be available to work weekends as required to meet programme deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager on industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience managing finishing works through to practical completion.
• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and site management procedures.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work certificates are essential.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Must be available for weekend working when required.
• Ability to start immediately.
