My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a major tunnelling scheme in Ipswich, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team delivering complex underground infrastructure works on a long-term project.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Toolbox talks
- Client liaison
- Stakeholder liaison
- Health and safety compliance
- Ordering materials
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Supervising subcontractors and site teams
- Coordinating tunnelling activities and associated civil engineering works
- Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
- Managing site documentation, RAMS, permits, and temporary works
- Overseeing quality control, inspections, and site records
- Supporting the Project Manager with programme delivery and client reporting
Site Manager Requirements:
- Black or Gold CSCS
- SMSTS
- Previous experience managing tunnelling or major civil engineering projects
- Experience with shaft sinking, SCL, TBM, pipe jacking, or microtunnelling would be advantageous
- Strong civil engineering background
- IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
