Site Manager

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Taunton, with a start available Monday. The project involves tunnelling and shaft construction, so previous experience in these areas is essential.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Managing tunnelling and shaft works
• Toolbox talks
• Client and stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Monitoring quality and maintaining site records
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager

Site Manager Requirements:

• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous water treatment experience is essential
• Previous tunnelling and shaft experience is essential
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of temporary works and deep excavations
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
