The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a major civils project in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with a strong civil engineering background to take responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of a significant infrastructure project.
You will play a key role in leading site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and the required quality standards.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.

Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Planning and sequencing works in line with the project programme.

Ensuring all works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Monitoring progress and reporting against programme.

Coordinating with the Project Manager, engineers, commercial team and wider project stakeholders.

Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact delivery.

Managing resources, materials and plant effectively.

Maintaining accurate site records, permits, inspections and documentation.

Supporting project meetings and providing regular progress updates.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.

A strong understanding of construction methodologies, site management and project delivery.

Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.

Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements.

The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach to site management.

The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Relevant industry qualifications, ideally including SMSTS and CSCS.
Experience working on major civils, highways, utilities, earthworks, structures or infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
