Freelance Site Manager – M&E & HVAC Installation (School Project)

Duration: Until the end of August (with potential for ongoing work)
Contract: Freelance

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to take over the day-to-day management of the M&E and HVAC installation works on a live school project.

This is a well-run project that is already progressing smoothly and remains on programme. The vacancy has arisen because the current Site Manager has been reassigned to another project, so we are looking for someone who can step in, maintain momentum, and see the project through to a successful completion.

The Role

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the M&E and HVAC installation works on site.
• Act as the No.1 Site Manager, taking full responsibility for site operations.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.
• Liaise with the visiting Contracts Manager and provide regular progress updates.
• Maintain site documentation and reporting using Procore.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Proven experience working as the No.1 Site Manager on construction projects.
• Ideally a background managing M&E and HVAC installations, although they have a confident M&E sub - Contractor on site. 
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• IT proficiency with experience using Procore (or the ability to use it confidently).

Essential Qualifications

• Valid SMSTS
• Valid First Aid at Work
• Valid CSCS Card
• Current DBS Clearance
