Site Manager job in Whitechapel – overseeing façade remediation works across an occupied residential development, offering the opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering refurbishment, recladding and building safety improvement projects across London.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or Senior Site Manager to join a leading contractor delivering façade remediation and refurbishment works across occupied residential properties in East London.

The successful candidate will oversee the removal and replacement of existing cladding and insulation systems, managing site operations, subcontractors, health and safety and programme delivery.

The project involves a restricted-access residential site requiring careful logistical planning, coordination of deliveries and management of works around occupied homes and public areas.

This role would suit a highly organised and proactive Site Manager with strong construction logistics, refurbishment and health and safety experience. Previous façade remediation experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of façade remediation and refurbishment works

• Overseeing site logistics, restricted access, deliveries and material movements

• Coordinating subcontractors, operatives and specialist trades

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards

• Managing site programmes, progress reporting and daily operations

• Conducting site inspections, quality checks and health and safety monitoring

• Liaising with residents, client representatives and project stakeholders

• Maintaining accurate site documentation and compliance records

• Identifying and resolving operational challenges to maintain project progress

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within construction, refurbishment or remediation

• Strong site logistics and health and safety management experience

• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades

• Confident managing restricted-access sites and occupied residential environments

• Previous façade remediation, recladding or external envelope experience desirable

• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications

• Temporary Works qualifications advantageous

• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
