Site Manager - Commercial Refurbishment / New Build

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a commercial refurbishment and rebuild project in Harlow.

The project involves a large commercial/industrial unit that has suffered significant fire damage. While the existing steel frame remains in place, the building requires a complete new shell along with extensive internal works and refurbishment. Candidates must have previous experience delivering new build shell projects and be comfortable managing both refurbishment and rebuild elements.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of site operations

• Coordinating subcontractors and trades on site

• Managing programme and ensuring works are delivered on time

• Maintaining high health & safety standards throughout the project

• Liaising with clients, consultants, and senior management

• Overseeing shell construction, refurbishment, and internal fit-out works

• Managing site paperwork, RAMS, inductions, permits, and progress reporting

• Quality control and snagging management

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or industrial projects

• Must have delivered a new build shell project previously

• Experience managing refurbishment and rebuild works

• Strong health & safety knowledge

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS required

• Experience on fire-damaged or insurance-led projects beneficial but not essential
