Salary: £260 - £290 per day
We are looking for a Site Manager for an industrial refurbishment project in Kidderminster. This role requires a proactive and organised individual to manage and oversee all site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Job Duties- Plan, organise and manage day-to-day site operations in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards at all times.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate works effectively.
- Monitor site progress and quality, identifying and resolving issues promptly to maintain project timelines.
- Manage site personnel, including subcontractors and labour, to optimise productivity and maintain discipline.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site reports, records, and documentation required for project control and auditing.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to site rules and safety protocols.
- Coordinate deliveries and site logistics to ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
- Assist in risk assessments and method statements to support safe working practises.
- Support budget control by monitoring costs and reporting variances to senior management.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
- Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Further construction-related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry, preferably in industrial refurbishment projects.
- Demonstrable ability to manage complex site operations and multiple subcontractors effectively.
- Experience in implementing health and safety standards on site.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly industrial refurbishment techniques and methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Competent in using site management software and standard office applications.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues promptly.
- The role is predominantly site-based and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Full-time hours are expected, with occasional requirement for overtime to meet project deadlines.
- Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times on site.
- Physical fitness is necessary as the role may involve walking, standing for extended periods and occasional manual handling.
