Site Manager - Swimming Pool Refurbishment

Rate: £260 per day

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 9-week swimming pool refurbishment project at a prestigious hotel in Manchester City Centre.
This is a client and guest-facing role within a live hotel environment, requiring a proactive and highly organised Site Manager who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the works, with health and safety as the highest priority.
Scope of Works
The project will involve the refurbishment of a swimming pool fit-out located on the 7th floor of the hotel, including:
- Demolition of the existing swimming pool.
- Temporary works, including scaffolding.
- Remediation works to weathered steel.
- Repair and replacement of areas of MF ceilings.
- First-fix electrical works.
- Tiling at both low and high level.
- General finishing works throughout.
- Coordination and management of multiple trades and site activities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful Site Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the site and coordinating all site activities.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety within a live hotel environment.
- Managing site logistics, deliveries, access and material movements.
- Coordinating works around hotel guests, staff and the client's operations.
- Liaising closely with the Project Manager, client and subcontractors.
- Ensuring programme and quality requirements are met.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in accordance with the project requirements.
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
About You
We are looking for a Site Manager with:
- Proven experience managing refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Experience working in live buildings or occupied environments.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage complex site logistics and multiple trades.
- A professional, proactive and hands-on approach.
- The confidence to deal directly with clients and members of the public/guests.
