Location: Leeds City Centre 

Rate: £325 per day (Umbrella PAYE)

Contract Length: October 2026 - January 2028

Start Date: Week Commencing 26th October 2026

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm

Site Manager - Commercial Fit-Out Project

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major commercial refurbishment and fit-out project in Leeds on behalf of a leading construction contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile £10m-£12m office refurbishment scheme comprising both CAT A and CAT B fit-out works across a multi-floor occupied commercial building. The project is scheduled to run through to January 2028, offering long-term contract stability.

The Project

The development involves:

• CAT A refurbishment works across multiple floors
• Full replacement of Mechanical & Electrical services throughout six floors
• External plant replacement works
• Welfare and changing room facility upgrades
• Strip-out and refurbishment of existing tenant areas
• Suspended ceilings, flooring installations and decorative finishes
• CAT B fit-out works across four of the six floors
• Management of works within an occupied building environment

Project value: £10m-£12m

You will work alongside an existing Senior Site Management team and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Monitoring and enforcing site Health & Safety standards
• Carrying out H&S audits and inspections using digital reporting systems
• Conducting site inductions for operatives and subcontractors
• Coordinating subcontractors and site logistics
• Managing access, deliveries and movements within an occupied building
• Ensuring works are delivered to programme and quality standards
• Monitoring workmanship and compliance across all trades
• Walking floors and actively managing progress on multiple work areas
• Supporting project reporting and site documentation

Essential Experience

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

• Proven Site Management experience on commercial office fit-out projects
• Strong background delivering both CAT A and CAT B fit-out schemes
• Experience working on projects valued up to £10m+
• Experience managing works across multiple floors within occupied buildings
• Proven track record of delivering projects over 10-12 month durations or longer
• Excellent understanding of commercial refurbishment and M&E coordination
• Strong Health & Safety management experience

Candidates should provide examples of relevant CAT A and CAT B projects on their CV.

Essential Qualifications

You must hold:

• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• CSCS Black Card or Gold Card
• PASMA
• Fire Marshal Certificate
• Manual Handling Certificate

Requirements

• Available to start week commencing 26th October 2026
• Able to work on an Umbrella PAYE basis
• Based locally to Leeds or within a commutable distance
• Eligible to work in the UK
