Our client is a well-established main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality social housing refurbishment and planned maintenance projects. They are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee a £6 million roofing and balcony refurbishment scheme for L&Q.

  • Re-roofing works across seven occupied low-rise residential blocks
  • Balcony refurbishment and associated external works
  • Delivering works safely within a live occupied environment

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing all site activities from mobilisation through to completion.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials.
• Overseeing roofing, balcony and external refurbishment works.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance at all times.
• Managing programmes and driving productivity on site.
• Liaising with the client, residents and the wider project team.
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification.
• Producing site reports and maintaining accurate project records.
• Managing site logistics within an occupied residential environment.

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor.
• Strong background delivering roofing and external refurbishment projects.
• Experience working on social housing, planned maintenance or occupied residential schemes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining quality and programme.
• A proactive approach with strong leadership skills.

• First Aid at Work
• Full UK Driving Licence and car
