We are seeking an experienced Working Site Manager to oversee a school refurbishment project in Street, Somerset for a 7-week programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations while remaining hands-on where required to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing subcontractors and site labour.
- Coordinating daily site activities and programme delivery.
- Maintaining health & safety standards and site compliance.
- Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Liaising with the client, school representatives, and project team.
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet specification.
- Assisting with practical site tasks when required.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects.
- Previous experience working within live school or education environments preferred.
- Valid SMSTS certificate.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive programme deadlines.
