Site Manager – Major Refurbishment Project

Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Contract: Minimum 3 months
Rate: Competitive

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 MainContractor on a large-scale refurbishment project based in Gosport, Hampshire.

Working as part of an established and experienced project team, you will take responsibility for a section of the project, with a particular focus on the internal fit out works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager who is comfortable working on large, complex projects and can take ownership of their area while integrating effectively with a wider site team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of your section of works, ensuring programme, quality and health & safety standards are maintained throughout.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating internal fit out packages
• Driving subcontractors and trades to achieve programme
• Monitoring progress and identifying potential delays
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety
• Ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards
• Coordinating with other Site Managers and the wider project team
• Managing site documentation, inspections and reporting
• Attending progress and coordination meetings
• Ensuring your section is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the overall project programme

About You

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager who ideally has:

• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or major Main Contractor
• Strong refurbishment and/or internal fit out experience
• Experience working as part of a large project team
• The ability to independently manage and take ownership of a section of works
• Strong subcontractor management and programme awareness
• Excellent health & safety standards
• Good IT and reporting skills
• Experience using Viewpoint, Field View and Outlook would be highly advantageous
• Relevant Site Management qualifications/tickets

The Opportunity

This is an initial 3-month contract, with a competitive rate on offer, working with a highly regarded Tier 1 contractor on a significant refurbishment scheme in Gosport.

We are looking for someone who can integrate quickly into the existing team, take ownership of the internal fit out works and help drive the project forward.
