The client

Our client is a UK-based engineering, installation and construction organisation specialising in bespoke bulk materials handling systems and full process plant solutions. Their expertise covers the full project lifecycle – from initial design engineering, and technical consultation through to EPCM/EPC contracts, construction, installation, commissioning, and long-term maintenance.

They deliver solutions for clients across mining, cement, aggregates, food, alternative fuels, biomass, steel, infrastructure, and ports, both in the UK and internationally.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team with decades of experience and play a key role in delivering and the completion of a large, complex project.

The role
Heavy engineering fitting and installation on a busy industrial customer sites around South Yorkshire & NE Lincs area, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting large assemblies and pipework
• Reading complex engineering drawings
• Roller bearings / couplings / pipework / jacketing sleeves etc
• Inspect work to ensure specifications are met
• Prep tools, and equipment as required
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards
• Inspect tools and equipment before use and report defects or safety concerns.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Support other site activities as directed by supervisor

Skills and experience

• NVQ L3 in Fitting or similar mechanical engineering
• CSCS card
• Previous experience in heavy engineering construction, or industrial site installation preferred
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work in a demanding site environment.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.

Working conditions

• Site-based industrial environment
• May involve manual handling, dust, noise, sparks
• Working at pace to meet installation deadlines
• PPE required at all times
