Site Operative Heavy Lift and Installations

Location: Studley, Warwickshire / UK & Ireland sites
Pay: £16 . £18 per hour
Hours: 40+ hours per week
Travel: Regular travel and overnight stays required
Position: Full-time, permanent

An established heavy lifting and specialist engineering business is looking for an experienced Site Operative to join its Projects and Installations team.

The role will involve working on specialist lifting and installation projects across the UK and Ireland, carrying out jacking, skidding, lifting and heavy installation operations.

• Carry out jacking, skidding and heavy lifting operations on customer sites.

• Work in accordance with project RAMS and safe systems of work.

• Assist with the movement and installation of heavy equipment and machinery.

• Inspect lifting equipment before use and report any defects or damage.

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and plant.

• Operate plant and machinery where appropriately trained and certified.

• Support equipment maintenance and preparation at the Studley yard.

• Follow site-specific health and safety procedures.

• Work closely with Site Supervisors, Project Managers and other site personnel.

• Travel to project locations throughout the UK and Ireland, including overnight stays.

• Previous experience within the heavy lift, machinery movement or engineered construction industry.

• Experience with hydraulic jacking systems.

• Site-based heavy lifting or installation experience.

• CITB Safety Passport or CSCS Labourer Card.

• Slinger Signaller CPCS / NPORS.

• Telehandler CPCS / NPORS.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding site work.

• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.

• Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively within a site team.

• Crane Supervisor CPCS.

• MEWP / IPAF certification.

• Additional lifting, rigging or plant qualifications.
