Site Operative - Devon (EX5)

RG Setsquare is currently recruiting for a Site Operative to join a busy team working on essential projects across the Devon area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.

Job Details

  • Location: Devon (EX5)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 1:00/2:00 PM - 9:00 PM (some flexibility required)
  • Company Vehicle: Transit tipper provided. Start and finish each day on site, with the option to take the vehicle home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out traffic management equipment, including "No Parking" cones ahead of scheduled works
  • Collecting and transporting signs, barriers, and cones from work sites
  • Assisting site teams with general labouring duties, including backfilling when required
  • Carrying and moving site equipment, involving regular manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Supporting the team to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding work
  • Towing experience is desirable
  • Streetworks qualification is advantageous, although training can be provided
  • No CSCS card required

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x
  • Sunday overtime paid at 2x
  • Hours worked after 9:00 PM paid at 1.5x
  • Regular weekend overtime available
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Opportunity for long-term work and potential permanent employment
