SITE PLANT OPERATIVE / FORKLIFT DRIVER

Job Title: SITE PLANT OPERATIVE / FORKLIFT DRIVER

Location: Burslem, Stoke On Trent

Full-time, Permanent 40 hours per week, Working x3 week shift rotation

WEEK1 – 5.30AM – 2.00PM

WEEK 2 – 1.00PM – 10.00PM

WEEK 3 – 9.30PM – 5.30AM (25% SHIFT PREMIUM)

 We are currently looking for Site Plant Operatives/Forklift Drivers for our clients growing team. You must hold a valid Counterbalance and have relevant experience. You must also be happy to work a 3-week, shift rotation.

You will add value to the business by unloading incoming consignments of waste, segregation and storage of palletised waste once inspected, processing of waste as required, and general housekeeping.

Main duties include:

• Selecting, sorting and segregating waste destined for landfill.
• Operation of plant and equipment in order to achieve batches meeting specifications required.
• Maintenance of safe working area and completion of housekeeping as required.
• Unloading of palletised incoming waste prior to acceptance inspection by Chemist.
• Once inspected, this waste will require segregation and storage in appropriate storage bays.

Experience/Skills needed:

• FLT Counterbalance licence essential
• Experience of working in the Hazardous Waste Sector is desirable
• Warehousing experience is desirable
•  SAP experience is desirable.
• Competent Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel.
• Must demonstrate willingness to work in outdoor conditions in a hazardous chemical environment undertaking a manual/hands on approach.
