Our client, Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking a Site Supervisor to join their team in Suffolk.

The Omexom Taylor Woodrow Joint Venture (TW JV) is delivering critical infrastructure as part of the Great Grid Partnership, a major programme designed to strengthen and enhance the UK's electricity transmission network.

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our delivery team and play a key role in the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of construction activities across the project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure schemes that will help support the UK's future energy requirements.

The Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers while promoting a strong safety culture across site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS and project procedures.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor progress against programme and resolve site issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate site records, diaries, inspections, and reporting documentation.
• Support engineers and site management teams with planning and delivery activities.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure temporary works, plant, and equipment inspections are undertaken as required.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to achieving project sustainability and carbon reduction objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Supervisor, or Site Supervisor within major infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering, or power transmission projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams on site.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Essential Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Experience

• National Grid, power transmission, substation, or utilities experience.
• Civil engineering and earthworks knowledge.
• Temporary works awareness.
• Experience working within alliance or joint venture environments.
• NRSWA, CAT & Genny, or relevant utility sector certifications.
