Site Supervisor

Questech Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Day Production Supervisor to oversee daily site operations and lead a small team within a busy production environment.

Location: Doncaster Area
Shift Pattern: 6:00am – 6:00pm | Rolling 4 on / 4 off
Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of 3 operatives
• Coordinate daily activities with the Site Manager, Maintenance Team and other operational supervisors
• Complete daily handovers with the Night Production Supervisor

Manage employee matters including:

• Timecards, Holiday Requests, Absence Managment, Return-to-work Processes, Training Requirements, Disciplinary Procedures, Rotas and Shift Planning

Site & Production Management

• Oversee day-to-day site operations
• Ensure production targets are achieved for both quantity and quality
• Complete production and batch reporting
• Ensure pre-use inspections are completed
• Monitor performance levels and maintain required standards
• Control and optimise site activities to maximise efficiency
• Coordinate plant operations in line with inbound and outbound loads and business requirements

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards
• Monitor and enforce PPE requirements
• Maintain compliance with ISO and management system standards
• Ensure all operatives complete relevant:
• Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) & Risk Assessments (RA)
• COSHH documentation
• Report hazards, accidents and near misses promptly
• Monitor contractor permits through to completion
• Ensure plant and machinery are operated safely and appropriately
• Maintain site security at all times

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Provide feedback and recommendations to management
• Report concerns and operational issues promptly
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, management and senior leadership

About You:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or processing environment
• Proven experience in a Supervisor or Team Leader position
• Strong organisational and leadership skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience operating mobile plant equipment (FLT, Loading Shovel, 360 Grab)
