About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Site Technician to join a specialist team carrying out construction materials testing across a wide range of construction, infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout Greater Manchester and Cumbria.
This is a field-based role where you will travel to sites in a company van and conduct testing on construction materials to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. Whilst based from the Manchester depot, the majority of your time will be spent working on-site across the region.
No two days are the same. You may spend a full day carrying out testing at a major construction project or visit several sites in a single day, undertaking a variety of testing and sampling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to construction sites across Greater Manchester and Cumbria using a company van.
- Carry out on-site testing and sampling of construction materials.
- Accurately record test results and complete required documentation.
- Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with industry standards and procedures.
- Work closely with site managers, contractors and colleagues.
- Maintain testing equipment and company vehicle.
- Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.
- Represent the business professionally on customer sites.
Training & Development
Full training will be provided to successful candidates. You will work alongside an experienced technician for approximately 2-3 weeks, receiving hands-on guidance before carrying out testing independently.

Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Comfortable travelling extensively throughout Greater Manchester and Cumbria.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
