Job Overview
We are recruiting Skilled Production Operatives to join a manufacturing site in Halifax, working on High Pressure Reactors (HPRs) and associated production equipment.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where safety, quality and compliance are essential. You will be involved in the full production process from raw material input through to finished product, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate and support HPR equipment and other production machinery, working in line with strict procedures, safety standards and quality requirements. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, identifying issues early and supporting fault finding to minimise downtime. You will also carry out quality checks, ensure products meet specification and complete production records and documentation accurately.
In addition, you will support sampling activities and may work alongside technical or R&D teams when required. Maintaining high housekeeping standards and contributing to a safe, organised working environment is also a key part of the role, along with supporting continuous improvement across the production area.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with experience in a manufacturing, production or process plant environment, ideally with exposure to machinery or chemical processing. A strong awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards is essential, along with a quality-focused approach and good attention to detail.
You should be confident following procedures, working to compliance standards and completing documentation or computer-based records. A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is essential for this role.
Desirable Experience
Experience working with High Pressure Reactors (HPRs), along with First Aid or Fire Warden training, would be an advantage but is not essential as training can be provided.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a hands-on environment. You should be calm under pressure, able to take ownership of your work and have a positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Benefits
This role offers a salary of £30,800 and a stable Monday–Friday afternoon shift pattern (13:00–21:00), meaning no weekend working. Full training will be provided where required, along with opportunities for ongoing development within a well-established manufacturing business.
