We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Skills & Engagement Service Administrator to join our team, and we value your skills and experience. You will be the first point of contact for members of the public and learners, providing excellent customer service and ensuring enquiries are directed appropriately.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding first-line customer service, responding to general public enquiries and signposting effectively. Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date records, including sign-up information, enrolment details, attendance, outcomes, and fee collection, using College systems. Work collaboratively with College staff across departments to ensure that information provided to clients/learners is current and accurate. Ensure College facilities are welcoming and fit for purpose to support a positive client experience. Assist the Skills & Engagement team in developing strong partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders to enhance support for individuals engaging with the College. Provide overall administrative support to contribute to our community's growth and success.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • (HCC) NVQ level 2/3 in Business Admin or equivalent experience 
  • Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM

Criteria for Shortlisting - Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A high level of communication skills – the ability to provide detailed information and advice accurately, clearly and positively.
  • Ability to communicate with clients who have poor communication skills.
  • Requires strong communication skills and proven experience in dealing with customers.
  • Experience of general office administration (answering the telephone, filing, photocopying, dealing with enquiries)
  • Experience in general office administration activities.
  • Experience with using Google Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Have an innovative, practical approach to problem-solving and a flexible, adaptable approach to working methods.
  • Organisational and administrative abilities
  • Self-Motivated, able to work within a pressurised environment, flexible, with a capacity to work to deadlines.

  • DBS check Summary
  • Willing to engage in the mandatory pre-screening application process.
