Job Title: Small Works Manager / Estimator

Location: Yate, Bristol

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

About us:

We are a small, friendly company carrying out one off jobs typically between £500 and £3,000, with occasional larger projects up to £100,000. We are looking for a practical, organised Small Works Manager / Estimator to join our team in Yate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can price small works quickly, and is confident managing multiple jobs from start to finish.

About the role:

You will converse with customers, assess and produce quotes from drawings or via site visits, organise labour and materials, and manage jobs through to completion.

This is a hands-on role with a mix of estimating, scheduling, customer communication, and job management.

Key duties:

• Interact with customers and assess small works
• Produce accurate quotes
• Order materials
• Schedule and coordinate multiple small jobs
• Keep jobs on time
• Maintain simple job paperwork and records
• Provide clear, friendly communication to customers and work crews

About you:

• Experience in small works, domestic or light commercial
• Confident quoting and pricing jobs from drawings or from attending a site.
• Strong organisation and follow through
• Practical mindset and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working in a small company environment
• Good communication skills
• Someone with a background in road construction, traffic management or similar would be a benefit
