Poole | £15.00 per hour | 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Thursday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SMT Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Poole.

This is a great opportunity for someone with recent SMT experience who is looking for a stable position within a professional manufacturing environment.

The responsibilities for the SMT Operator 

You will be responsible for operating and monitoring SMT production equipment, ensuring components are placed accurately and products are manufactured to the required quality standards.
  • Setting up and operating Europlacer SMT equipment
  • Setting up and loading feeders
  • Loading and running production programmes
  • Carrying out SMT machine changeovers
  • Monitoring placement quality throughout production
  • Identifying and resolving basic production or machine issues
  • Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks
  • Working from production drawings, specifications and work instructions
  • Ensuring production targets and quality standards are maintained
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
To be considered for this SMT Operator Vacancy:
  • Recent experience operating Europlacer SMT equipment
  • Previous experience within an SMT or electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience setting up feeders and loading programmes
  • Experience carrying out SMT changeovers
  • A good understanding of placement quality and quality control
  • The ability to follow technical instructions and production specifications
  • A reliable and positive approach to work
