Social Media Manager
Michael Page
We're looking for a Social Media Manager who can help take social from a channel that supports the brand to a channel that actively drives engagement, trust, acquisition and retention.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to simply follow a content calendar. We're looking for someone who can shape strategy, challenge thinking, spot opportunities and then roll their sleeves up and make things happen.
Client Details
You'll be joining a marketing team that's evolving. The business is investing in its brand, broadening its audience and modernising the way it connects with customers. Social has a huge role to play in that journey.
This is a business going through positive change, which means not everything is perfectly established. You'll need the confidence to challenge, the persistence to keep moving things forward and the energy to help others see what's possible through social.
Description
You'll own our social media strategy across key channels, helping build stronger connections with both consumer and business audiences.
Working closely with teams across marketing, content, brand and customer engagement, you'll:
- Develop and lead the social media strategy
- Build engaging content plans that align with wider marketing activity
- Create, edit and publish content when needed, including reactive and trend-led activity
- Work alongside agency partners, ensuring they deliver against objectives and opportunities aren't missed
- Support acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns through smart social planning
- Use performance data and insight to optimise activity and influence future decisions
- Champion social media best practice across the organisation
- Help evolve our channel approach, recognising that different audiences engage differently across platforms
Profile
We're interested in people who understand social media strategically, but who are equally comfortable getting hands-on.
You'll likely bring:
- Experience managing social media for a consumer-facing brand
- Strong understanding of platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging channels
- Experience working with agencies and managing external partners
- Confidence using insight, analytics and performance data to shape decisions
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across teams
- Great content instincts and an eye for what resonates with different audiences
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with resilience, curiosity and drive.
Job Offer
- Salary £40-50k
- Annual bonus
- Up to 10% employer pension contribution
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional days
- Hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office
If you're excited by the idea of building, improving and influencing rather than simply maintaining, we'd love to hear from you.
