Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Social Procurement Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering its social procurement agenda, helping to create greater social value through the supply chain.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement Excellence, this position will work closely with procurement teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers and external bodies to embed supplier diversity, responsible sourcing and modern slavery due diligence into day-to-day procurement activity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening governance, improving reporting and demonstrating how the organisation uses its scale and supply chain to do business responsibly. The role has a particular focus on ethical sourcing, modern slavery risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description

The Social Procurement Manager will lead initiatives that support responsible procurement practices throughout the supply chain. Working collaboratively across the business, the role will help embed ethical sourcing principles, manage supplier risk and ensure effective due diligence processes are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and improve modern slavery and human rights due diligence across the supply chain.
• Support the Modern Slavery Working Group and contribute to annual objectives.
• Produce the annual Modern Slavery Statement and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Manage supplier risk assessments, including mapping, profiling and due diligence activities.
• Oversee supplier audits and track corrective actions to ensure issues are addressed.
• Handle supplier escalations relating to ethical risks and non-compliance.
• Embed responsible procurement practices into onboarding, tendering and supplier management processes.
• Support bids, tenders and client presentations with responsible procurement expertise and input.

Person Specification

• Experience in responsible procurement, sustainability, social value or ethical sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of modern slavery and supply chain risk management.
• Confident analysing supplier data and producing clear reports and insights.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organisational change.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates integrity and sound judgement when dealing with sensitive situations.
• Comfortable challenging existing practices and embedding new ways of working.
