We are seeking a Social Work Assistant to support a Social Work Team in delivering effective support to children and families.
Working closely with qualified Social Workers, you will provide practical and direct support to children, young people and families, helping to promote positive outcomes and ensure children receive appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities-
Support Social Workers with ongoing casework and family support.

Undertake life story work with children and young people.

Supervise family contact arrangements, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing.

Undertake direct work with children and young people.

Provide practical family support to children and their families.

Build positive and professional relationships with children, families and partner agencies.

Maintain accurate records and provide updates to Social Workers.

Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to promoting positive outcomes for children.
The successful candidate must:

Have experience working with children, young people and/or families.

Have an understanding of safeguarding and the needs of children and families.

Be confident undertaking direct work with children and young people.

Have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
-
Be able to work effectively as part of a Social Work Team.

Be able to undertake visits and work flexibly as required.
You must be a driver and have access to your own car.
This is essential for undertaking visits and supporting children and families in the community.
