Caritas Recruitment is supporting Manchester City Council with the recruitment of an experienced Children with Disabilities Team Manager to provide leadership and oversight within a dedicated Children with Disabilities service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Team Manager with a strong background in children's social care, safeguarding, and managing services for children and young people with disabilities.

- Location: Manchester
- Pay Rate: Up to £46 per hour
- Contract Length: 3 to 6 months
- Working Pattern: Full-time
- Office Attendance: Candidates should expect to be more office-based than hybrid, although some flexibility is available
- Start Date: As soon as possible
About the Role
As Team Manager, you will:
- Lead, support, and supervise a team of Social Workers within the Children with Disabilities Service
- Ensure high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children and families
- Oversee assessments, care planning, child protection, and statutory interventions
- Support staff development, performance management, and case progression
- Drive excellent practice standards and ensure compliance with legislation and local procedures
- Work closely with partner agencies to deliver effective multi-agency support
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Children's Social Care
- Previous Team Manager or Advanced Practitioner experience
- Strong knowledge of Children with Disabilities services
- Experience managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases
- Excellent leadership, supervision, and decision-making skills
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and performance standards
