Adult Social Worker - Adult Disability Team
Location-Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council
Pay Rate -£28.40 - £31.97 per hour depending on experience
Hours-37 Hours Per Week
Duration- 3-Month Contract (Initially)
Hybrid working minimum of 1 day per week with Wednesday being a madatory office day based at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council The Central Depot 1st Floor Block A Building Moat Lane Solihull B91 2LW.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Adult Disability Team.
This dedicated team supports working-age adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and autism, helping individuals achieve positive outcomes and maintain independence through a person-centred approach.
About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Adult Disability Team, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking Care Act assessments and reviews
- Completing safeguarding enquiries
- Developing and reviewing care and support plans
- Working collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies
- Managing a varied caseload whilst meeting statutory deadlines
- Promoting independence and wellbeing for adults with disabilities
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant legislation and best practice
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
✅ Social Work England registration
✅ Experience completing adult social care assessments and reviews
✅ Experience undertaking safeguarding enquiries
✅ Experience working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or autism
✅ Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Ability to effectively manage workloads and meet deadlines
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. As this role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, applicants are required to declare any cautions and convictions that are not protected under current filtering rules.
