SW Locums is recruiting an experienced Social Worker – Family Safeguarding to join the City Family Support and Safeguarding Team at Cambridgeshire County Council.

Role Details

• £39.00 per hour – Umbrella

• Full-time locum

• Monday to Friday

• ASAP start

• Hybrid working – 2/3 days in the office

• Location: Fawcett House, Foster Road, Trumpington

About the Role

You will manage a varied caseload across CIN, CP and CIC, with opportunities to work on complex cases involving PLO and Care Proceedings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing statutory visits for CIN, CP and CIC

• Chairing CIN and Core Group meetings

• Completing court reports, risk assessments and parenting assessments

• Attending court with support from a Senior Practitioner or Team Manager

• Participating in the duty rota

• Attending ICPC and RCPC meetings and preparing conference reports

• Managing and assessing safeguarding risks

• Working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker looking for a challenging and rewarding safeguarding assignment.
