FM Search & Select are working with an established Facilities Management business to recruit an experienced Soft Services Manager for a large static site in Dundee.

This is a varied, highly client-facing position and would suit an experienced cleaning manager who enjoys being hands-on, building strong relationships and taking ownership of service delivery.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of soft services on site, with a particular focus on cleaning operations, while also supporting the delivery of events held at the venue.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting the on-site cleaning team
  • Ensuring consistently high cleaning and presentation standards across the site
  • Carrying out regular site audits and quality inspections
  • Attending client meetings and acting as a key point of contact on site
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with the client
  • Supporting the planning and running of events held at the venue
  • Coordinating cleaning and soft services requirements around events
  • Managing staffing levels, rotas and day-to-day operational requirements
  • Monitoring performance and addressing any service issues
  • Producing reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Using IT systems to manage information, reporting and service delivery
  • Ensuring health & safety and company procedures are followed

What We're Looking For

Previous cleaning management experience is essential for this position.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced managing cleaning teams within a commercial environment
  • Confident in a client-facing management role
  • An excellent communicator who is comfortable attending client meetings
  • Experienced carrying out audits and monitoring service standards
  • Highly organised and able to manage changing priorities
  • IT literate and comfortable using systems and producing reports
  • Flexible in their approach to working hours
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the site

Previous experience supporting or running events would be a real advantage, although this isn't essential.

Hours & Package

The position is contracted to 30 hours per week, working 5 days over 7, with an hourly rate of £15.31 per hour.

Due to the nature of the site and the events being held, flexibility is essential. There may be occasions where early starts, evenings or weekend working are required depending on operational and event requirements.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time management position where they can take real ownership of a site while working closely with the client and wider operational team.
