Software Assistant (CCH)

Adaptive Careers

We are currently recruiting for a Software Assistant that has an understanding of CCH software and looking for an opportunity to combine their accounting knowledge with user support and training.

You will join a collaborative team responsible for supporting and improving the use of Practice Management and Document Management systems across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in an accountancy practice who enjoys helping others get the most from their software.

The Role

You'll provide day-to-day support to users of the Practice Management (PM) and Document Management (DM) systems, helping to ensure processes are followed, data is maintained, and colleagues receive the training and support they need.

You'll work closely with teams across the business, contributing to system improvements, user adoption and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide first-line support for user queries relating to CCH Practice Management and Document Management.
  • Deliver training and onboarding sessions for new and existing users.
  • Create and maintain document and billing templates.
  • Review and cleanse system data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support month-end processes within the Practice Management system.
  • Assist with software implementation and user adoption during acquisitions and office integrations.
  • Support system integrations and understand the impact of changes across connected applications.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience using CCH software, ideally CCH Practice Management and/or CCH Document Management.
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice or a similar professional services environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to support and train colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A logical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and continuously improve processes.

This is a UK remote role with regular teams calls with the wider support team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who may be in the early stages of their career and looking for an opportunity to develop their expertise in business systems within a supportive and collaborative team.

If you have experience with CCH software and are looking to move into a varied role combining software support, training, process improvement and stakeholder engagement, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a UK-based, remote position. Applicants must be currently based in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK, as sponsorship cannot be provided.
