Enjoy working across a range of Azure cloud services? If so, we’re looking for a Software Developer for Azure technologies to join our dynamic data systems team.
About us:
The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) is an independent, scientific, not-for-profit organisation (circa 60 staff), that uses accurate data to help improve the quality of critical care through audit, research and education, conducted with, and in the interests of, patients and those who care for them.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop their skills in Azure cloud services, software development and devops to join our data systems team in ICNARC.
You will take part in an agile development of a greenfield Azure-native portal platform called Clinical Audit Management Portal which is currently in design phase and a part of a bigger cloud and AI transformation project called Insights Programme. You will also support and have a role in Online Reporting System, Data Dictionary and Data Warehousing projects within this programme, work closely with the corresponding solution partners of these platforms, developing/maintaining high-quality backend services and APIs.
You will be in touch with the product owners and the subject matter experts from the business in an agile production environment. Further on this path, you will have opportunities to develop solutions, software as parts of these platforms, and train further on your path towards a better equipped professional on most recent Azure based technologies. Meanwhile when needed you will be providing infrastructure solutions support and work with IaC pipelines.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in software development environments. You will have strong technical skills and affinity for new cloud-based technologies along with excellent attention to detail.
You will be hungry to always learn more and courageous to take up on challenges of ever evolving world of technology. As you will interact with ICNARC’s audit, research, data systems and statistician teams, and solution partners, being a good and effective communicator is key to success. It is essential that you have a proactive attitude with a clear enthusiasm for Azure services and DevOps practices.
