About the Role:

You’ll work alongside software teams on major programmes, helping ensure high-quality systems for UK and international partners, while gaining hands-on experience in QA processes, software assurance, and project quality assessments.

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

• Support software teams to maintain and improve system quality

• Follow QA procedures, guidelines, and standards

• Lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks, and provide recommendations

• Collaborate with colleagues across programmes and the wider QA community

• Assist with auditing, configuration, documentation, and requirements management activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will bring:

• Experience in software development, Quality Assurance, or full software lifecycle processes

• Knowledge of national/international software standards and assurance requirements

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities under pressure

• Experience with configuration, documentation, or requirements management systems is advantageous

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
