Salary: £45,000 Basic + 10% Performance Bonus

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy team working across new build residential developments throughout Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.
This role focuses on the second-fix installation, testing, commissioning and handover of Solar PV systems on newly constructed homes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance before customer handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to develop a long-term career within the renewable energy sector while working on large-scale residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out second-fix electrical works on residential Solar PV installations.
- Test, inspect and commission Solar PV systems on new build properties.
- Complete electrical certification and commissioning documentation.
- Diagnose and rectify installation faults where required.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Liaise professionally with site managers, developers and internal teams.
- Conduct quality checks and final inspections prior to handover.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times.
- Manage company vehicle, tools and equipment responsibly.
- Travel between multiple housing developments across the Oxford, Northampton and Cambridge regions.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience commissioning electrical installations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing and fault finding.
