Responsibilities and duties of the Technical Control Centre Team Lead role

Reporting to the O&M Manager you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across utility-scale solar PV sites
  • Diagnose and repair faults on solar PV systems, electrical equipment and associated infrastructure
  • Respond to reactive maintenance callouts to minimise site downtime
  • Complete scheduled inspections and ensure sites remain compliant with health and safety standards
  • Produce accurate maintenance reports and record all completed work
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and site reliability
  • Assist with the commissioning of new solar PV installations
  • Ensure compliance with all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
  • Other duties as required



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting or commissioning electrical systems
  • Previous experience within utility-scale or commercial solar PV would be beneficial
