About Our Client
Our Client is a fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in Solar PV installations across Ireland. We deliver high-volume domestic and commercial projects and are scaling our operations significantly (currently 10–12 installs per week, with strong growth forecast).
We are now hiring an experienced Solar PV Electrician who can take a leading role in installations and sign-offs, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on every project.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, hands-on role for a qualified electrician with strong Solar PV experience and SEAI / QC credentials.
You will:
Lead the electrical side of domestic and commercial PV installations
Act as the signing-off electrician on projects (SEAI / QC)
Work closely with in-house surveyors, project managers, and install crews (roofers & electricians)
Contribute to technical problem-solving, design input, and commissioning
For the right person, there is scope to grow into a broader leadership role (e.g. leading electrical standards, mentoring others, taking on pre-award meetings and design input).
Key Responsibilities

Carry out full electrical installation of Solar PV systems (primarily retrofit, ~70% domestic / 30% commercial & industrial)
Install and connect inverters, isolators, cabling, consumer unit works, generation meters and associated protection devices
Commission systems, complete all testing, and verify that installations meet regulatory and manufacturer requirements
Ensure all electrical works are completed to Safe Electric and relevant Irish regulations (ET101, etc.)
Compliance, Testing & Sign-off
Act as the responsible QC electrician for projects, signing off installations where qualified and authorised to do so
Complete all necessary certification, documentation, and SEAI grant-related paperwork for each install
Maintain accurate test records, commissioning sheets, and as-built documentation
Liaise with SEAI, Safe Electric and other bodies as required for inspections, audits or clarifications
Technical Support & Problem Solving
Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on-site, including faults on inverters, string configuration, protection devices and grid connections
Provide technical guidance to roofers and electricians on the crew, ensuring safe and efficient installation practices
Support pre-installation planning, including review of survey information and system designs
Participate in pre-award / client meetings where required to explain the electrical aspects of installations and answer technical queries
Health, Safety & Quality
Ensure all works are carried out in line with company health & safety procedures and statutory regulations
Promote safe working practices on-site, including correct use of PPE, lockout/tagout where appropriate, and adherence to method statements and risk assessments
Champion quality standards across all electrical works, identifying opportunities to improve processes and workmanship
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with project managers, the operations team and warehouse personnel to ensure jobs are correctly scoped, resourced and ready-to-go
Provide clear feedback from site regarding progress, issues, and any changes required to schedules or materials
Support training and development of junior / apprentice electricians where appropriate

Experience working on retrofit projects including integration into existing electrical infrastructure
Familiarity with SEAI grant process, documentation, and inspections
