Slater Heelis is seeking a talented and ambitious Solicitor with between 3 and 8 years' PQE to join its successful and growing Crime & Regulatory practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and dynamic team recognised for its expertise across privately funded criminal defence and regulatory work.

The Opportunity

You will handle a varied and stimulating caseload, advising individuals and businesses on a broad range of matters including:

• Magistrates' Court proceedings
• Crown Court matters
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement action
• Professional disciplinary proceedings
• Police station representation
• Advisory and pre-charge work
• Complex and high-profile cases alongside senior team members

This is a client-facing role offering significant responsibility from the outset, with the opportunity to develop your advocacy skills and build lasting client relationships while working on high-quality matters.

About You

We are keen to hear from solicitors who:

• Have 3-8 years' PQE gained within criminal law
• Are experienced in managing their own caseload with minimal supervision
• Are confident appearing before the Magistrates' Court and supporting Crown Court proceedings
• Possess excellent communication and client care skills
• Are highly organised, resilient and commercially minded
• Thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Are motivated to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team

Experience in regulatory law, professional discipline or related areas would be advantageous but is not essential.
