Avenue Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Scottish legal practice to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor for their Aberdeen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE who is passionate about Private Client work and looking to join a supportive, collaborative team where they can continue to develop their expertise and progress their career.
The successful candidate will manage a varied Private Client caseload, working closely with individuals, trustees and executors and providing high-quality, practical advice across a broad range of matters.
The role will include:
- Advising clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney and lifetime planning
- Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney
- Providing succession planning and asset protection advice
- Advising on tax mitigation matters
- Handling the administration of executry and trust estates
- Managing your own caseload while maintaining a high standard of client care
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting less experienced members of the team where appropriate
What we're looking for:
Applicants must be qualified in Scots Law and have previous experience working within Private Client.
Ideally, you will have 2+ years' PQE, alongside:
- Strong Private Client experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence managing your own workload and caseload
- A personable and client-focused approach
- A genuine interest in developing your Private Client career
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge across the team
- STEP qualification, or an interest in working towards this, would be advantageous
