Private Client Solicitor - 2+ Years PQE

Avenue Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded Scottish legal practice to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor for their Aberdeen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE who is passionate about Private Client work and looking to join a supportive, collaborative team where they can continue to develop their expertise and progress their career.


The successful candidate will manage a varied Private Client caseload, working closely with individuals, trustees and executors and providing high-quality, practical advice across a broad range of matters.


The role will include:

  • Advising clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney and lifetime planning
  • Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Providing succession planning and asset protection advice
  • Advising on tax mitigation matters
  • Handling the administration of executry and trust estates
  • Managing your own caseload while maintaining a high standard of client care
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting less experienced members of the team where appropriate


What we're looking for:


Applicants must be qualified in Scots Law and have previous experience working within Private Client.
Ideally, you will have 2+ years' PQE, alongside:

  • Strong Private Client experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence managing your own workload and caseload
  • A personable and client-focused approach
  • A genuine interest in developing your Private Client career
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge across the team
  • STEP qualification, or an interest in working towards this, would be advantageous
