Solicitor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor to join our well-established and thriving client based in Hertfordshire. This role offers a varied caseload involving matters in the County Court and other relevant tribunals. The successful candidate will ensure all work is carried out in accordance with professional standards, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and other applicable regulatory requirements. Previous experience in this specific area of litigation is not essential, as full training will be provided to candidates with a genuine interest in litigation and dispute resolution.

Our client welcomes applications from both Newly Qualified and experienced Solicitors, offering a salary of £45,000–£65,000 depending on experience. The role is full-time, with office-based working during the initial training period, after which hybrid working will be available following a few months in the role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied defended caseload from instruction to conclusion.
• Review claims, assess merits, provide legal advice, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with court and tribunal deadlines.
• Maintain accurate case management records and produce clear reports.
• Build strong client relationships and provide internal legal support where required.
• Supervise and support junior team members.

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ to experienced).
• Litigation experience (desirable but not essential)
• Drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
• Excellent organisation, communication and client management skills.
• Experience handling contested matters in the County Court is desirable.
• Proactive, commercially aware and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
