Sourcing Manager in Greater London

The Opportunity

I'm looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join an Own Brand Sourcing team.

This commercially focused role will lead sourcing and supplier activity across an own-brand portfolio, with responsibility for cost reduction, supplier negotiation, new product development, supply continuity and commercial performance.

You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal commercial, technical and operational teams, with the opportunity to influence sourcing strategy and deliver measurable commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing projects, tenders and supplier negotiations to deliver competitive pricing and cost savings.

• Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, availability and supply resilience.

• Build strong supplier relationships and drive improved performance and service levels.

• Identify new sourcing and product development opportunities and support successful launches.

• Monitor supply chains and proactively manage risks around availability, lead times, MOQ, date codes and waste.

• Lead cost-saving and sourcing projects from opportunity through to implementation.

• Analyse market, category and supplier data to identify commercial opportunities.

• Present recommendations and commercial updates to key stakeholders and senior management.

• Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring agreed benefits are delivered.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll have a strong buying, sourcing or procurement background, ideally within retail, wholesale or FMCG, with excellent commercial and negotiation skills.

Essential:

• 2+ years' buying experience within retail or wholesale.

• Experience managing cost of goods within own-brand/private-label categories.

• Proven supplier negotiation and cost-saving experience.

• Experience managing tenders or sourcing projects.

• Understanding of production and supply-chain considerations.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Degree or equivalent relevant commercial experience.
