C2 Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join a successful and growing hospitality business just outside Shrewsbury.

Working alongside an experienced Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional food, maintaining high kitchen standards and helping to develop a talented kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients in a busy, professional kitchen and is looking to take the next step in their career.

As Sous Chef, you'll support the day-to-day running of the kitchen while leading by example and ensuring every service delivers consistently high standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the Head Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen

* Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence

* Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients

* Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials

* Training, mentoring and motivating junior chefs

* Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards

* Managing stock, ordering and helping to minimise waste

* Delivering consistently high-quality food during busy service periods

We're looking for someone who has:

* Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or an ambitious Chef de Partie ready to step up

* A genuine passion for producing high-quality, fresh food

* Experience working in a busy commercial kitchen

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* The ability to lead, motivate and develop others

* A good understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance

* A calm, positive attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure

* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required

* £15.00 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
