Key Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you'll play an important role in delivering consistently high standards by:
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Preparing and overseeing high-quality food production
- Supervising, training, and supporting the kitchen team during service
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Monitoring stock, reducing waste, and assisting with ordering
- Ensuring efficient service and consistent food quality in a busy environment
- Assisting with kitchen organisation, rotas, and daily operational duties
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, leadership, and experience, including:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef within a fast-paced kitchen
- Experience working within counter-style food service is preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Reliable, positive, and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required
