To start September 2026 - Teaching Assistant required to work with KS1 and KS2 students in the SEN Unit of a Romford based School. Experience and knowledge of Challenging Behaviour and ASD would ideally be essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker to make a real difference to a young life.
Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 3.45pm (Term time only )
Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:
- To support KS1 & KS2 students with ASD & Challenging Behaviour.
- Managing the student’s behaviour and employing de-escalation skills when required.
- Able to identify & manage triggers and traits.
- To work as a team alongside the class teacher with the students learning and development within the classroom.
- Team Teach trained would ideally be essential or be prepared to be trained in this area.
- Youth worker background or supporting children within the care sector.
- L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care or SEND qualification.
