Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Altrincham, supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and is looking for a rewarding position within a specialist setting. The school caters for pupils who may present with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs, meaning resilience, patience and the ability to build positive relationships are essential.
The Role
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Encouraging engagement within lessons and school activities
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning programmes
- Promoting a safe, positive and structured learning environment
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and life skills

The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people
- Background in SEN, SEMH, care, youth work, support work or education is desirable
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and effectively
- Passion for helping pupils achieve their potential
